Prepping for Travel to Spain 2023

ANTICIPATION
As we approach Day -3 and endure the countdown for Trip Spain 2023 we are startingto get excited.  A lot of prep went into our trip, which starts on Monday as we land at Aeroport de Barcelona and within hours will be touring Park Güell and taking the Skip the Line tour of La Sagrada Familia only to get up at 5AM the next morning to take a ballon across the Montserrat.  The thought of jetlag hasn't occurred to us at all.

Needless to say, taking an aerostat all depends on the weather, a forecast I have been Googleing ever since 30-day was published.  Not being exactly a ballonatic, I asked a colleague of mine who's father happens to fly balloons, what to look out for? His answer? "The landing."  Of course I then had to use the new AI (ChatGPT since Bard is still on waiting list) what else? Obviously wind, rain, lightning are not just a downer for travel at large but will cancel your balloon ride faster than you can say "10mph wind."

BEWARE! If you ever make plans and read extended weather forecasts don't put much stock in them because they change, and secondly, you might get hooked. I can't stop checking reports 2-3 times a day!  The roller coaster ride through rain and 15 mph wind reports, the cold and heat, have been quite the spectacle. Fortunately, as we approach the 72 hour mark before our trip the forecasts are moving in our favor. Mostly sunny with mid-70'sF

So our suit cases are out, our "Tile" trackers are tested and the laundry basket is about to get emptied into the machine as we prepare for our trip.  STAY TUNED!
